Who We Are
After several years as joint MDs of a leading media specialist recruitment agency—and firm friends as well as colleagues—we reached a natural point where we wanted to create something of our own. Those endless conversations that began with “if we were running our own business…” became a reality when we took the exhilarating (and slightly terrifying) leap of resigning from our jobs on the same day.
With nothing more than an idea for a company name and a lot of energy and ambition, we set out to build something that truly reflected our values and vision.
Together we’ve built Fourteen People into a trusted, dynamic recruitment agency that champions both clients and candidates, delivering outstanding results with integrity, expertise and a personal touch.
With over twenty years’ experience, we’ve cultivated an enviable network of clients and candidates in the media, creative and arts sectors.
Sue McLelland
Sue brings a wealth of industry knowledge and an extensive network of contacts. She has successfully managed and developed large, complex, multinational client accounts while also advising smaller businesses on recruitment strategy. Sue is commercially astute, rigorous in her questioning and is able to understand a business and culture quickly to then source a diverse, highly capable selection of well matched candidates.
Wendy Duprey
Throughout her career, Wendy has worked with a diverse range of clients and candidates across London’s media, marketing and communications sectors. She has played a key role in pioneering internship and apprenticeship programmes in collaboration with trade associations, media partners and government bodies. A former judge at both the CIPR Excellence Awards and the IPA CPD Gold Accreditations, Wendy has also been a speaker at numerous seminars, debates and industry panels on subjects such as training and development, graduate employment and employer branding.
